Protocols and Practices

May 08, 2022

I am happy to announce I have been fully vaccinated and boosted with the Pfizer vaccine since early last dose December 2021. I am wearing a mask and requesting you do the same during our sessions as new variants of the virus emerge and we still do not have full immunity. In light of our current pandemic of the corona virus or covid19, usual cleaning practices have ramped up to include contact and droplet infection control protocols, as used in the hospital setting.

I have 15 years of hospital experience and have been front line during SARs1 epidemic in London, ON Canada in 2002, specialized in ICU for many years in Toronto Canada and San Antonio TX and I have worked in oncology with very fragile patients with poor immune status and I am well versed and practiced in infection control at all levels.

Current practices and Protocol

All contact surfaces are disinfected with hospital multi antimicrobial hospital wipes between every client visit including door knobs, tables, chairs, bathroom etc and then I directly wash my hands with soap and water for 20 seconds immediately following.  We will remain 6 feet apart during the visit unless I need to be closer for manual therapy or dry needling. I will wear a surgical mask at all times during our visit and kindly ask that you do the same.

I currently screen all clients for symptoms including non contact forehead thermometer temperature check.

Policy

I ask that any client who has traveled or been in a large group setting to self quarantine for 14 days. Your sessions at Boutique Bodyworks are one on one with only me and no one else present in the clinic so distancing is well achieved during your session.

Also, if you develop symptoms (most commonly fever, fatigue and dry cough) you will need to self quarantine for14 days and call your doctor regarding symptoms for medical advice.

live online virtual option

In any of these situations or for personal preference, virtual live online Physical Therapy assessment, treatment, exercise, Tai Chi and Pilates are always available upon request via email or phone, and are paid in advance to the session as well consent forms signed.

I use a HIPPA compliant platform doxy.me for Physical Therapy to protect your privacy and personal health information. For all other services I use Zoom. All you need is your favourite device to stream on, space to move, and comfortable clothing to move in.  It's as simple as clicking on an emailed appointment link to start your session and that's it!

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time but we can get through this together if we take a little extra care and shared responsibility
